Slow-cooked beef, tangy barbecue sauce, and soft buns combine for the ultimate comfort food.

# Ingredients:

01 - 3-4 lbs beef chuck roast
02 - 1 large onion, sliced
03 - 3 cloves garlic, minced
04 - 1 cup beef broth
05 - ½ cup barbecue sauce
06 - 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
07 - 1 tbsp brown sugar
08 - 1 tsp smoked paprika
09 - 1 tsp ground cumin
10 - 1 tsp salt
11 - ½ tsp black pepper
12 - 6-8 sandwich buns
13 - Pickles (optional)
14 - Coleslaw (optional)
15 - Sliced onions (optional)

# Steps:

01 - Season the beef chuck roast generously with salt, pepper, smoked paprika, and cumin on all sides.
02 - Place the sliced onion and minced garlic at the bottom of your slow cooker or Dutch oven.
03 - Add the seasoned beef on top of the onions.
04 - Pour in the beef broth, barbecue sauce, Worcestershire sauce, and brown sugar.
05 - Cover and cook on low for 8-10 hours in a slow cooker or in a Dutch oven at 300°F/150°C for 4-5 hours, until the beef is incredibly tender and easily shredded.
06 - Carefully remove the beef from the slow cooker and place it on a cutting board. Using two forks, shred the beef into bite-sized pieces.
07 - Return the shredded beef to the slow cooker and mix it thoroughly with the rich cooking juices.
08 - If desired, toast the sandwich buns on a baking sheet in the oven or on a grill until lightly golden.
09 - Spoon a generous amount of the delicious pulled beef onto the bottom half of each bun. Add pickles, coleslaw, or sliced onions as desired.
10 - Place the top half of the bun over the beef and press gently. Serve immediately and enjoy!
