01 -
Pour olive oil into a big skillet and warm it up on medium. Toss in the chopped onion and let it sweat for a couple of minutes till it softens, then add chopped garlic and stir quickly for about 30 seconds.
02 -
Drop in the ground beef and break it up using a spoon. Keep stirring and cooking until the meat takes on a nice browned look, roughly 5-7 minutes. Get rid of extra fat after that.
03 -
Put the skillet back on the burner. Stir in the drained tomatoes, marinara, cinnamon, and salt until combined nicely.
04 -
Dump in the chopped cabbage and mix it into your sauce. Once everything's well stirred, let the mixture start to simmer at a light bubble. Pop the lid on.
05 -
Simmer the cabbage until it softens up, which should take about 15-20 minutes. Stir it now and then so it doesn't stick to the pan. Make sure it tastes how you like before moving on.
06 -
Dish it up while it's warm. You can either enjoy it just like this if you're staying low carb, or spoon it over a side of rice for a more filling option.
