Arrange half of the tortilla chips in a single layer on a baking sheet. Sprinkle half of the shredded cheddar cheese over the chips. Repeat with remaining chips and cheese layers.

Meanwhile, heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook shrimp for 7-8 minutes, turning halfway, until opaque and thoroughly cooked.

Remove baked chips from oven, top with cooked shrimp, add desired toppings such as diced tomato, cilantro, avocado, jalapeño, sour cream, and salsa, then serve immediately.
