Slow Cooker Ground Beef French Dip (Print Format)

# Ingredients:

01 - 2 pounds lean ground beef
02 - 1 large onion, sliced thin
03 - ½ cup quick cooking oatmeal
04 - 1 1/3 cups beef broth
05 - 1 ounce envelope beefy onion soup mix
06 - 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
07 - ½ teaspoon garlic powder
08 - ½ teaspoon black pepper
09 - 6 slices provolone cheese
10 - Buns

# Steps:

01 - In a skillet, add ground beef and thinly sliced onions. Cook over medium heat until the beef is fully cooked. Drain excess grease.
02 - Add the cooked beef and onions to the slow cooker. Stir in oatmeal, beef broth, beefy onion soup mix, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, and black pepper.
03 - Cover the slow cooker and cook on low for 3-4 hours.
04 - 15-20 minutes before serving, place provolone cheese slices on top of the mixture in the slow cooker. Cover and let the cheese melt.
05 - Serve the mixture on buns such as brioche or slider rolls.
