Southern Style Peach Cobbler (Print Format)

Juicy peaches baked under a cinnamon-sugar crust for a warm, comforting Southern dessert.

# Ingredients:

01 - ½ cup butter, melted
02 - ½ cup brown sugar
03 - ½ cup white sugar
04 - 1 cup self-rising flour
05 - 2 16-ounce cans sliced peaches, one drained and one undrained
06 - 1 cup whole milk
07 - ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
08 - Ground cinnamon, to taste

# Steps:

01 - Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). In a 7x11-inch baking dish, add the butter and place it into the oven just until melted.
02 - In a mixing bowl, combine self-rising flour, brown sugar, white sugar, milk, and vanilla extract. Whisk until smooth and no lumps remain.
03 - Pour the batter into the baking dish on top of the melted butter. Do not stir. Add the sliced peaches, including one drained can and one undrained can, on top of the batter. Do not stir.
04 - Sprinkle cinnamon over the top. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 45-50 minutes, until the top is golden brown and the dough is fully cooked.
05 - Allow the cobbler to cool for 10-15 minutes. Serve warm, optionally with a side of vanilla ice cream.

# Tips:

01 - When first removed from the oven, the cobbler may appear watery. Allow it to cool, and the texture will firm up.
