Creamy Strawberry Swirl Cake (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Cake Base

01 - 1 package of strawberry cake mix (plus any extras listed on the box)

→ Cream Cheese Swirl

02 - 1 block (8 oz) of softened cream cheese
03 - Half a cup of powdered sugar
04 - 1 tsp of vanilla

→ Strawberry Glaze

05 - 1 cup of mashed up fresh strawberries
06 - A third of a cup of regular sugar
07 - 1 tbsp of lemon juice
08 - Mix 1 tsp cornstarch with 1 tbsp water

→ Garnish

09 - Fresh strawberry slices
10 - White chocolate for drizzling on top

# Instructions:

01 - Set your oven to 350°F (175°C) and let it heat up. Coat a 9x13-inch baking pan with a little grease. Prepare the strawberry cake mix as directed on the box, then pour it all into the greased dish.
02 - Blend the cream cheese, vanilla, and powdered sugar until smooth. Drop spoonfuls of this mix over the cake batter, then gently swirl with a knife for a marbled look.
03 - Bake for 30 to 35 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean when tested. Leave the cake in the pan to cool down completely.
04 - In a small pan, heat mashed strawberries, sugar, and lemon juice until it bubbles. Stir in the cornstarch-water mix and cook until it thickens. Let it cool to room temperature.
05 - Pour the cooled glaze onto the cooled cake. Garnish with fresh strawberries on top and drizzle white chocolate for extra flair.

# Notes:

01 - You can substitute frozen strawberries, just thaw and mash before using.
02 - For more zing, add some lemon zest to your glaze.
03 - Strain the mashed strawberries if you want a smoother glaze texture.
