# Ingredients:

→ Filling

01 - 1 pound ground beef
02 - 1 ounce low sodium taco seasoning
03 - 1/4 cup salsa
04 - 1/4 cup water

→ Dough & Cheese

05 - 13.8 ounces refrigerated pizza crust
06 - 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

→ Egg Wash

07 - 1 egg
08 - 1 tablespoon water

→ Optional Toppings

09 - Sour cream
10 - Taco sauce
11 - Lettuce
12 - Avocado

# Steps:

01 - Preheat oven to 350℉ and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
02 - Brown the ground beef in a skillet and drain the excess grease. Return the skillet to the stovetop, add the taco seasoning, salsa, and water, then stir and cook until thickened.
03 - Unroll the pizza dough onto the parchment paper and press it into a rectangle shape.
04 - Sprinkle 1 cup of shredded cheese down the center of the dough. Spoon the taco meat over the cheese and add the remaining cheese on top.
05 - Use a pizza cutter to cut each side of the dough into about 12 strips. Fold the strips over the filling, alternating sides to create a braid.
06 - In a small bowl, whisk together the egg and water. Brush the egg wash over the dough.
07 - Bake the taco braid for 22-25 minutes, or until golden brown on top.
08 - Slice the taco braid and serve warm with optional toppings such as sour cream, taco sauce, lettuce, or avocado.

# Tips:

01 - For a quicker preparation, substitute with 1 pound of leftover taco meat if available.
