Brown and crumble 1 pound ground beef in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Drain excess grease.

Return meat to skillet and add in 14.5 ounce can diced tomatoes, 1 cup ketchup, 1/2 cup bottled barbecue sauce, 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce, and 2 tablespoons sugar. Stir well to combine.

Cover and cook mixture on medium heat for about 10 minutes. Stir occasionally.

While the filling is cooking, prepare the 1 box (8 slices) frozen garlic Texas toast according to package directions.

Spoon the meat filling on top of the garlic Texas toast and sprinkle with 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese.

If preferred, place the assembled toast into the oven and allow the cheese to brown and melt.
