Toffee Bars Cake Mix (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Main Ingredients

01 - 1 cup toffee bits
02 - 1 large egg
03 - 1/2 cup butter, melted
04 - 1 box yellow cake mix
05 - 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
06 - 1 can (14 oz) of sweetened condensed milk

# Instructions:

01 - Set your oven to 350°F (175°C) to warm up. Coat a 9×13-inch pan with non-stick spray or line it with parchment paper so you can lift the bars out easily.
02 - Combine the cake mix, egg, and melted butter in a big bowl. Keep mixing until the mixture turns crumbly.
03 - Take about two-thirds of the crumb mixture and press it evenly into your prepared pan. Make sure it covers the bottom completely.
04 - Gently pour the sweetened condensed milk across the crust. Smooth it out so it covers all the edges.
05 - Evenly sprinkle the chocolate chips and toffee bits over the layer of condensed milk.
06 - Sprinkle the leftover crumb mixture on top for a nice topping.
07 - Bake for around 25 to 30 minutes. You’ll know it’s done when the top is golden, the edges are crisp, and the center looks slightly soft.
08 - Take the pan out and let everything cool completely before slicing into bars. Enjoy them however you like!

# Notes:

01 - Keep leftovers in a sealed container at room temperature for a maximum of 3 days.
02 - For an extra crunch, toss in 1/2 cup of chopped nuts like walnuts or pecans into the topping layer.
03 - Want thicker bars? Use an 8×8-inch pan instead, but tack on a few more minutes to the baking time.
