Unstuffed Pepper Skillet Dinner (Print Format)

01 - 1 lb ground beef
02 - 1/4 tsp salt
03 - 1/4 tsp pepper
04 - 1/4 tsp paprika
05 - 1 1/2 tsp steak seasoning
06 - 1 onion, diced
07 - 3 bell peppers, diced
08 - 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
09 - 1 tbsp minced garlic
10 - 1 can (15 oz) diced tomatoes
11 - 1 1/2 cups beef broth
12 - 1 cup long grain white rice, uncooked
13 - 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

# Steps:

01 - In a skillet, brown the ground beef. Add salt, pepper, paprika, steak seasoning, onion, and diced bell peppers.
02 - Cook until the ground beef is done and peppers and onions are softened. Drain any grease from the skillet.
03 - Add diced tomatoes, Worcestershire sauce, garlic, beef broth, and uncooked rice. Stir the mixture well.
04 - Bring the mixture to a boil, reduce the heat to medium-low, cover with a lid, and cook for about 20 minutes or until the rice is fully cooked.
05 - Stir in 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese. Spread the remaining cheese on top.
06 - Allow the cheese to melt, either by letting it sit or by placing the skillet under a broiler in the oven.
07 - Serve the skillet meal hot. Optional toppings include sour cream and hot sauce.

# Tips:

01 - This dish can also be baked in the oven at 375°F for about 45 minutes if preferred, after browning the ground beef.
