Knife and Fork Velveeta Sliders (Print Format)

# Ingredients:

→ Cheese Sauce

01 - 16 ounces Velveeta, cut into 1/2-inch cubes
02 - 10 ounces diced tomatoes and green chilies, such as RO*TEL
03 - 1 pound ground breakfast sausage
04 - 1/2 cup sour cream

→ Sliders

05 - 12 slider buns
06 - 1/2 cup butter, melted
07 - 1-2 tablespoons garlic powder or onion powder

# Steps:

01 - Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
02 - In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground breakfast sausage, breaking it into crumbles. Drain the grease.
03 - Reduce heat to low, add cubed Velveeta and diced tomatoes with green chilies to the skillet with the sausage. Stir frequently until the cheese is melted and smooth. Mix in the sour cream.
04 - Place the bottoms of the slider buns in a baking dish. Pour the cheese and sausage mixture evenly over the buns. Replace the tops of the buns.
05 - Brush the melted butter over the tops of the buns. Sprinkle garlic powder or onion powder evenly over the top.
06 - Bake in the preheated oven for 5-10 minutes, or until the tops are golden and the sliders are warmed through. Serve hot with a knife and fork.
