Surf and Turf Pasta (Print Format)

Tender Wagyu steak and prawns atop creamy parmesan spaghetti for a touch of pure indulgence.

# Ingredients:

→ Beef

01 - 2 Wagyu beef sirloin steaks (227 g each)
02 - 2 tsp black pepper
03 - 2 tsp salt
04 - 4 sprigs thyme
05 - 4 garlic cloves, crushed
06 - 100 g butter

→ Seafood

07 - 454 g extra large raw king prawns

→ Sauce

08 - 1 large brown onion, diced
09 - 2 garlic cloves, finely chopped
10 - 150 ml double cream
11 - 1 tsp chili flakes
12 - 50 g parmesan, grated

→ Pasta

13 - 150 g spaghetti

→ Garnish

14 - Fresh parsley, chopped

# Steps:

01 - Bring the Wagyu steaks to room temperature and season with salt and black pepper.
02 - Heat a cast iron skillet until smoking. Sear the steaks for 2 minutes on each side.
03 - Add butter, thyme, and crushed garlic to the skillet. Baste the steaks for 4 minutes on each side for medium-rare.
04 - Remove the steaks from the skillet, tent with foil, and allow to rest for 10 minutes.
05 - Using the same skillet, cook the prawns for 2–3 minutes on each side until pink.
06 - In the same skillet, sauté the diced onion. Add garlic, double cream, chili flakes, and grated parmesan. Stir well to combine.
07 - Cook the spaghetti as per package instructions. Toss the spaghetti with the prepared sauce and prawns.
08 - Top the creamy spaghetti with sliced steak and garnish with fresh chopped parsley.

# Tips:

01 - Ensure the skillet is properly preheated to achieve a good sear on the steaks.
02 - Resting the steaks allows the juices to redistribute for the best flavor.
