# Ingredients:

→ Burger Patties

01 - 1 1/2 pounds ground beef
02 - 1 teaspoon garlic powder
03 - 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
04 - Salt, to taste
05 - Freshly ground black pepper, to taste

→ Lasagna Layer

06 - 1 1/2 cups seasoned meat sauce
07 - 1 cup ricotta cheese or ricotta-style cheese
08 - 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese or mozzarella-style cheese

→ Bacon & Assembly

09 - 8 to 10 slices bacon, cooked until crisp
10 - 4 burger buns, toasted
11 - Butter or oil, for cooking
12 - Optional: lettuce leaves
13 - Optional: tomato slices
14 - Optional: extra meat sauce, for topping

# Steps:

01 - Combine ground beef with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and freshly ground black pepper in a large bowl. Divide mixture into four equal portions and shape each into a thick patty.
02 - Heat a skillet or grill over medium-high heat. Add a small amount of butter or oil and cook patties for 4 to 5 minutes per side until fully cooked and browned. Remove and set aside.
03 - In a small bowl, blend ricotta cheese with half of the shredded mozzarella until smooth and combined.
04 - Place seasoned meat sauce in a saucepan over low heat and warm gently, stirring occasionally.
05 - Place the bottom bun on a plate and set one cooked burger patty on top. Spoon a generous amount of warm meat sauce over the patty, then spread a layer of the ricotta-mozzarella mixture. Arrange 2 to 3 slices of crisp bacon atop the cheese layer. Add a second spoonful of meat sauce, then sprinkle with the remaining shredded mozzarella cheese. Add lettuce and tomato slices if desired.
06 - Cover the assembled burgers loosely with foil or a lid and place over low heat for 1 to 2 minutes until the cheese melts and toppings are warmed through. Top with the remaining bun and serve immediately while hot.

# Tips:

01 - To ensure crisp bacon and prevent soggy buns, drain bacon thoroughly and assemble burgers just before serving. For a lighter alternative, substitute ground turkey or chicken for beef.
