Southern Bayou Surf-and-Turf Fries (Print Format)

Crispy fries smothered in steak, shrimp, veggies, and zesty cheese sauce for a Southern bite.

# Ingredients:

→ Fries

01 - 3 large potatoes, cut into thick fries
02 - 2 tbsp oil (for frying or baking)
03 - Salt and paprika, to taste

→ Beef & Shrimp

04 - 250 g beef steak, cut into bite-size pieces
05 - 250 g shrimp, peeled and deveined
06 - 1 tbsp Cajun seasoning
07 - 1/2 tsp black pepper
08 - 1/2 tsp garlic powder
09 - 1 tbsp butter

→ Veggies

10 - 1/2 green bell pepper, sliced
11 - 1/2 red bell pepper, sliced
12 - 1/2 onion, sliced
13 - 1 tbsp oil
14 - Pinch of salt and chili flakes

→ Cheese Sauce

15 - 1 cup shredded mozzarella
16 - 1/2 cup cheddar
17 - 1/2 cup cream or milk
18 - 1/2 tsp paprika
19 - 1/4 tsp black pepper

# Steps:

01 - Cook the fries by frying or baking until golden and crispy. Season with salt and paprika.
02 - Heat a pan with 1 tbsp oil and sauté the peppers and onions until soft and lightly charred. Remove from pan.
03 - In the same pan, melt butter, add steak pieces, and cook until browned. Add shrimp, Cajun seasoning, garlic powder, and pepper. Cook until shrimp turn pink.
04 - Heat the cream, then add mozzarella and cheddar. Stir until melted and smooth. Add paprika and pepper.
05 - Place fries on a large plate, then top with steak, shrimp, and sautéed vegetables. Pour the hot cheese sauce over everything and serve immediately.
