Blue Monster Treats (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Base Layer

01 - 2 teaspoons baking powder
02 - 2 large eggs
03 - 1 cup light brown sugar, tightly packed
04 - ¾ cup white sugar
05 - 1 cup soft butter, room temp
06 - Blue food dye
07 - 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
08 - 3 cups all-purpose flour
09 - 1 teaspoon salt

→ Extra Bits

10 - ¾ cup semisweet chocolate morsels
11 - ¾ cup chunks of milk chocolate or discs
12 - ½ cup white chocolate morsels
13 - ¾ cup crumbled crunchy cookies (like Chips Ahoy or Famous Amos)
14 - ¾ cup broken Oreo cookies (around 10 cookies)

→ Garnish

15 - Extra semisweet chocolate morsels
16 - Extra cookie crumbs (crunchy style)
17 - More crushed Oreos
18 - Extra white chocolate pieces

# Instructions:

01 - Set your oven to 350°F to warm up. Beat the butter with both sugars in a mixing bowl for roughly a minute until they're well blended.
02 - Mix the eggs and vanilla with the creamed ingredients and beat for about 3 more minutes. The mixture will start looking light and fluffy, almost pale. Add drops of blue food dye—a brighter tone works best for a fun Cookie Monster look!
03 - Slowly combine the baking powder, flour, and salt into the batter. Mix only until everything's just combined—don't overdo it, or you'll mess up the dough's texture!
04 - Gently stir in the chocolate chips, Oreo chunks, white chocolate, and crispy cookies. If the dough feels too sticky or wet, pop it in the fridge for half an hour before baking.
05 - Scoop 2 tablespoons of dough, spread it out, and pop 2-3 chocolate disc pieces in the center. Wrap the dough around the chocolate, then press another 2-tablespoon scoop on top to seal it all inside.
06 - Take the dough balls and press in some extra white chocolate chips, semisweet morsels, Oreo chunks, and cookie bits to dress them up.
07 - Spread the dough balls out on a greased or lined baking sheet (space them apart so they don't stick together when baking). Bake for 10-12 minutes. Let them sit on the sheet for 5 minutes to firm up, then pop them on a cooling rack.

# Notes:

01 - Famous Amos cookies give the crispiest chunks, but mini Chips Ahoy is a pretty close second.
02 - These spread out A LOT, so give them some breathing room on the tray.
03 - Pull them out of the oven when the edges are set but the centers still look a bit soft—they'll finish firming up on the tray.
