Preheat the oven to 190 °C (375 °F) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

In a bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with ¼ cup sugar and vanilla extract until smooth.

Unroll the crescent dough and separate into triangles. Press the seams together if necessary to seal any gaps.

Place approximately 1 tablespoon of the cream cheese mixture on the wide end of each dough triangle.

Roll each triangle tightly from the wide end to the tip to form a roll.

Brush the outside of each roll with melted butter.

In a shallow bowl, mix ½ cup sugar with 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon to create the coating.

Roll each buttered roll in the cinnamon-sugar mixture until completely coated.

Place the coated rolls on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 18–20 minutes, or until golden brown and puffed.

Allow the rolls to cool slightly before serving. Enjoy warm.
