Dates Peanut Chocolate Bars (Print Format)

Sweet dates combined with peanut butter, chocolate, and peanuts for a layered, no-bake treat.

# Ingredients:

→ Main

01 - 20 Medjool dates, pitted
02 - 3/4 cup semisweet chocolate chips
03 - 2/3 cup natural creamy peanut butter, stirred
04 - 1/2 cup peanuts, coarsely chopped
05 - 1/4 tsp kosher salt, optional

# Steps:

01 - Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Pit the dates and open them with the sticky sides facing up. Arrange them closely on the parchment in a rough rectangle. Cover with another parchment layer and press firmly with a rolling pin or cup to form an even, compact layer.
02 - Remove the top parchment sheet and spread the peanut butter evenly over the flattened dates using an offset spatula for a smooth layer.
03 - Heat the chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals, stirring between each, until fully melted, approximately 60 to 90 seconds.
04 - Drizzle the melted chocolate over the peanut butter layer and spread it evenly. Sprinkle the chopped peanuts on top and gently press them into the chocolate. Optionally, sprinkle kosher salt over the surface.
05 - Refrigerate uncovered until chocolate firms, about 1 hour, or freeze for 30 minutes. Once set, cut into Snickers-sized bars using a knife.

# Tips:

01 - For sweeter bars, use milk chocolate chips; for less sugar, choose dark chocolate. Variations with cashews, pistachios, or almonds can enhance texture. Store in an airtight container at room temperature up to 4 days or refrigerated for 2 weeks.
