Easter Chocolate Layers (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Oreo Crust

01 - 36 crushed Oreo cookies
02 - 1/2 cup melted unsalted butter

→ Cream Cheese Layer

03 - 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
04 - 8 oz cream cheese, softened to room temperature
05 - 1 cup powdered sugar
06 - 1/2 cup softened unsalted butter
07 - 1 cup of Cool Whip topping

→ Chocolate Pudding Layer

08 - 2 and 3/4 cups cold milk
09 - Two 3.9 oz boxes of instant chocolate pudding mix

→ Topping

10 - 1 and 1/2 cups crushed Oreo pieces
11 - 2 cups Cool Whip
12 - Festive Peeps bunnies for garnish
13 - Bright colorful Easter egg candies for decor

# Instructions:

01 - Use a food processor to smash the Oreo cookies into fine bits. No food processor? No problem—pop the cookies into a zip-top bag and crush them using a rolling pin. Mix the crushed crumbs with the melted butter using a fork, then push it all tightly into the base of a 9 x 13-inch dish. Let it chill in the fridge so it hardens up.
02 - In a bowl, whip together cream cheese, softened butter, powdered sugar, and vanilla until fluffy. Gently blend in one cup of Cool Whip until it’s smooth. Spread this layer on top of the cold Oreo crust, then put it back into the fridge.
03 - Using a medium-sized bowl, whisk the pudding mix with cold milk for a few minutes until it thickens. Layer this pudding mixture over the creamy cheese layer. Chill the dish in the fridge for about 10 minutes.
04 - Smooth two cups of Cool Whip across the top of the pudding layer. Sprinkle crushed Oreos over it. Leave it to chill in the fridge for a minimum of four hours—or overnight if you can wait that long!
05 - When you’re ready to serve, jazz it up with Peeps bunnies and some fun Easter egg candies. Slice it into squares and enjoy!

# Notes:

01 - You can make this dessert two days before, but hold off on decorating until serving time.
02 - Keep it cold in the fridge until you’re ready to serve.
03 - Want cleaner cuts? Heat your knife in hot water, dry it off, then slice.
04 - If you prefer, swap Cool Whip out for homemade whipped cream.
