Garlic Herb Shrimp (Print Format)

Tender shrimp cooked with garlic, herbs, and lemon zest for a savory, quick stovetop meal.

# Ingredients:

→ Seafood

01 - 1 lb large shrimp (21-25 count per lb), peeled and deveined

→ Dairy

02 - 3 tbsp salted butter

→ Herbs and Spices

03 - 3 cloves garlic, minced
04 - 1/2 tsp dried basil
05 - 1/2 tsp dried oregano
06 - 1/2 tsp lemon zest
07 - 1/4 tsp salt
08 - 1/4 tsp black pepper
09 - 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes

→ Citrus and Fresh Herbs

10 - 3 tbsp fresh lemon juice
11 - 2 tbsp freshly chopped parsley

# Steps:

01 - Heat butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat until it begins to foam. Add the minced garlic and stir continuously for 30 seconds to release its aroma.
02 - Add the shrimp to the skillet. Sprinkle basil, oregano, lemon zest, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes evenly over the shrimp. Stir frequently and cook until shrimp turn opaque pink and slightly curl, about 3 to 4 minutes.
03 - Remove the skillet from heat. Pour fresh lemon juice and sprinkle chopped parsley over the shrimp. Gently toss to combine flavors and serve immediately.

# Tips:

01 - To prevent rubbery shrimp, cook them only until pink and opaque. They will continue cooking off heat.
02 - If using frozen shrimp, thaw completely before cooking for even doneness.
03 - For finger food, keep shrimp tails on; for dishes like pasta or rice, remove tails.
