Olive Garden Breadsticks (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Dough Base

01 - 4 cups all-purpose flour
02 - 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
03 - 1½ cups warm water (about 110°F)
04 - 1 tablespoon salt
05 - 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
06 - 2¼ teaspoons active dry yeast

→ Garlic Butter Topping

07 - 1 teaspoon garlic powder
08 - ¼ cup unsalted butter, melted
09 - ½ teaspoon salt

# Instructions:

01 - Stir the sugar, warm water, and yeast in a small dish. Leave it alone for around 5-10 minutes. When you see bubbles and foam, you're good to go!
02 - In a big mixing bowl, throw in the flour, softened butter, and salt. Pour your foamy yeast water over it, then knead everything for about 8-10 minutes till smooth and elastic.
03 - Grease a bowl, place the dough inside, and cover it with a towel. Let it chill in a cozy spot for an hour so it can bulk up and double in size.
04 - Knock the air out of the dough gently, then break it into 12-14 bits. Roll those into ropes, about 6-7 inches long, and lay them on your prepared baking tray.
05 - Cover the shaped dough sticks with your kitchen towel and let them rest until they swell up a bit—give it 20-30 minutes.
06 - Turn your oven up to 400°F and bake your breadsticks for 12-15 minutes until they’re golden and beautiful.
07 - While they're still warm, paint them with your garlic butter using a brush. Dish them out while they're fresh and enjoy the compliments!

# Notes:

01 - These buttery sticks are like Olive Garden’s classic, but fresher and tastier from your kitchen!
02 - Make the dough a day ahead and let it sit in the fridge for its first rise. Just give it time to warm up before shaping.
