Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or aluminum foil.

In a small bowl, whisk together honey, pineapple juice, soy sauce, minced garlic, and grated fresh ginger until well blended.

Place salmon fillets on the prepared baking sheet and season evenly with salt and pepper.

Brush salmon fillets generously with the honey pineapple glaze, reserving some glaze for basting.

Bake for 12-15 minutes until the salmon flakes easily with a fork and reaches an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C). Baste with reserved glaze halfway through cooking.

Remove from oven. Garnish with sliced pineapple and chopped cilantro if desired. Serve immediately.
