Quick Brown Sugar Glazed Carrots (Print Format)

# Ingredients:

01 - 1 lb carrots, peeled and sliced into rounds
02 - 2 tablespoons butter
03 - 2 tablespoons brown sugar
04 - 1/4 teaspoon salt
05 - 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
06 - Pinch of cinnamon or nutmeg (optional)

# Steps:

01 - In a medium saucepan, bring water to a boil. Add the sliced carrots and cook for about 5–7 minutes until just tender. Drain and set aside.
02 - In the same pan, melt the butter over medium heat. Stir in the brown sugar, salt, pepper, and optional spices if using.
03 - Add the carrots back to the pan and stir to coat. Cook for another 3–5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the glaze thickens slightly and carrots are glossy.
