Sausage Egg Cheese Crescent (Print Format)

Buttery crescents stuffed with sausage, eggs, and cheese—perfect for hearty, delicious mornings.

# Ingredients:

01 - 8 breakfast sausage links
02 - 1 can refrigerated crescent roll dough
03 - 4 eggs, whisked (reserve 1 tablespoon)
04 - 1/4 teaspoon salt
05 - 1/8 teaspoon pepper
06 - 1 tablespoon fresh chives, thinly sliced
07 - 1 teaspoon milk
08 - 1 tablespoon butter
09 - 1 1/2 cups cheese (pepper jack and cheddar)
10 - Parmesan cheese, optional

# Steps:

01 - Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
02 - Heat a skillet over medium heat and cook sausage links for 10-12 minutes. Remove them to a paper towel-lined plate.
03 - In a small bowl, whisk together eggs and 1 teaspoon of milk until combined.
04 - Melt butter in a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Add the whisked eggs and stir gently with a spatula until almost set. Sprinkle with salt, pepper, and chives. Remove from heat.
05 - Unroll the crescent dough and arrange each triangle on a baking sheet. Place one sausage link, 1 tablespoon of scrambled eggs, and a large pinch of cheese on each triangle. Roll each crescent tightly and leave on the baking sheet.
06 - Brush the top of each crescent with the reserved tablespoon of whisked egg. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese if desired.
07 - Bake in the preheated oven for 18-20 minutes or until golden brown.

# Tips:

01 - Substitute cooked bacon or ham for sausage links if preferred.
02 - Use pre-cooked breakfast sausage links for convenience.
03 - Avoid crescent dough full sheets. Use standard crescent rolls.
04 - Mix pepper jack and cheddar cheese, or use your preferred cheese.
