01 -
Set the smoker to 250°F. Slice the Hawaiian rolls in half horizontally using a bread knife.
02 -
Shape the breakfast sausage into a large patty the same size as the rolls, using the roll package as a mold.
03 -
Beat the eggs with salt and black pepper. Pour the mixture into a greased 8x10 casserole dish.
04 -
Place the sausage patty and egg dish on the smoker for 1 hour, or until the sausage reaches an internal temperature of 160°F.
05 -
Place the bottom halves of the rolls on a baking sheet. Layer with the cooked sausage, then the smoked eggs. Drizzle with 2 tablespoons of maple syrup and hot sauce, if desired.
06 -
Top the layers with slices of American cheese and the top halves of the rolls.
07 -
Mix the remaining maple syrup with the melted butter. Brush the mixture over the tops of the rolls.
08 -
Return the sliders to the smoker and smoke for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese has fully melted. Slice into individual sliders and serve hot.
